How To Do A Reactor Seal Repair

First, disconnect the power supply of the reactor. You don’t want the reactor to turn on while you’re repairing the seal.

Next, you need to disassemble the reactor and take out the mechanical seal unit from the shaft. Once you have taken out the unit, you need to dismantle the whole unit to check if it needs a mechanical seal repair or a new part.

Once replaced or fixed, you need to assemble the mechanical seal unit and attach it back to the reactor. Next, assemble the reactor and test the seal for leakages by applying adequate pressure.

If there are no leakages, then connect the power supply and turn the reactor on. Make sure to record the mechanical seal and service on the equipment maintenance card.
